Fallow doe

I've never really attempted to photograph deer before, mostly due to the amount of time and effort it can take to attract them near enough for good shots (unless you're happy photographing captive park deer of course). A close encounter with this very relaxed wild Fallow doe this morning has encouraged me to have a good go this year. It was great being so close to such a timid species. She definitely knew I was there, but as long as I stayed relaxed and made no sudden movements she did the same.
