Wild Boar

All of the Wild Boar in the photographs below are free living in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire and most were taken less than a mile from my home. Wild Boar are shy, mostly nocturnal creatures, and recieve a lot of bad press from miss informed people. A feral population has been growing in the Forest of Dean for some years, and for a lot longer than people think I am sure. They have poor eyesight and often come trotting towards you with a sniff and a grunt for a closer inspection. Wild Boar are incredibly difficult to find, so if you see one you should count yourself very lucky.
